And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. Genesis 1:29-30From the beginning God’s creation was in perfect harmony. Every creature was at peace with other creatures, and none devoured others in their bloodlust for food. After the rebellion against God, caused by the evil one, humans killed animals for their fur, to make clothing to cover themselves. They also began offering sacrifices of innocent animals for their sins.Violence filled the hearts of the creatures of earth.They were all driven by their own lusts, killing and devouring one another. The prophet Isaiah gives us a vision of the future, when Christ returns and destroys the wicked from the earth. At that time peace will return to the earth.I have already had a sample of this perfect peace in my own life. You can also find it if you seek it with your whole heart.
